Add a channel or playlist
Paste the YouTube link in your dashboard. For channels you can skip Shorts, start from a date and choose which existing videos to import. For a whole course, the playlist summarizer covers older videos too.

New uploads are found once a day. Need it sooner? Click “Check now” at any time.

Is there an automatic YouTube summarizer that works without a browser extension?+
Yes. MindGem runs on its own servers. You do not need to keep a tab open or start anything by hand. New videos from the channels and playlists you follow are summarized in the background.
How often does MindGem check for new videos?+
Once a day by default. You can switch a source to weekly, or start a check at any time with “Check now”.
Can I follow playlists as well as channels?+
Yes. Playlists work on every plan, including Free with up to 3 playlists. Following whole channels is part of the Pro plan.
Does MindGem need access to my YouTube account?+
No. You only paste links to public channels or playlists. MindGem does not ask for access to your YouTube account.
Can I choose which new videos get summarized?+
Yes. You can leave out Shorts, start from a date, and pick which existing videos to import when you add a channel.
Can I summarize older videos from a channel?+
Yes. On Pro and higher you can import older videos of a channel in one batch.
